Event Organization

Should every user be allowed to organize events?

• Only Lecturers are allowed to organize events.

Should events have entrance fee?

• They don't have to have an entrance fee, but they could have it.

Should events be visible to every user or just the ones that are enrolled to the class? (for lecturer meetings)

• If the class is public then every user could see it, for private classes, only the learners enrolled in that class and the lecturer can see that event.

What happens if very few people interested in event? Maybe there should be a lower limit of attendance to organize the meeting and should be postponed or canceled otherwise? (System should notify the users if the event got postponed or canceled)

• If there are not enough participation event should be cancelled.

Should we make an upcoming events feature in recommendations?

• Shown to user by popularity of events(high attendance, almost full of attendance capacity)
• Events of the lecturers of already enrolled classes needs higher priority?

• Recommendation should be focused on learning, do not recommend events.

Should events be searchable?

• No.

What is the scope of annotation? (Where, when can it be used?)

• Classes, events, and class materials should be open to annotation.

What extra types of content can be annotated? (Profile pages,)

• You should not implement annotaion for profile pages. Learning related material should be open to annotation.

What are the restrictions on annotations?

• There are no restrictions regarding annotations for now.

System - Communicaton Channel:

What is the difference between asking questions and discussion of ideas?

• System shall support both one-to-one chat and group chat functions.

What platforms can be taken reference for this? (github for mentioning etc, reddit, moodle, ... ?)

• There are no examples on this topic.

User

Should the user verification made by phone or mail or else_

• Should system send a message to the phone number for verification?
• Should there be an Captcha?

• User should be verified via e-mail. You do not need to implement Captcha.

Will there be Guest User feature?

• No, there won't be guest users.

Should user login to see course content?

• Yes.

Will there be a course fee? Will there be a premium account?

• No, all the content on the platform should be free. Only the events with entrance fees will require payment.

Should there be an option for registiration and login via social media accounts?

• Yes, it can be an option.

Will the lecturers be allowed to give certificates?

• Rather than certificates, badges could be given to learners.

Lecturer

Should lecturers confirm their skills by showing a certificate?

• Will be answered.

Learner

Should we consider learner education-experience for recommendations?

• Recommendation questions will be answered later.

Note Taking

Where should the note taking take place? On profile or after lectures or etc?

• This functionality should be a part of courses. If a user wants to share their notes they can share it inside that course.

Should the system provide learner to give permissions read-only,editing,delete to shared notes ?

• It is not necessary but possible.

Note taking system as a github profile page and notes as repos ?

• You can store all of the notes of a user in a hyper-link.
