Add Game as Exception in Firewall
To host a game in MMVS, you should ensure that your firewall doesn't block it.
In most cases, Windows does not block MMVS, but in some instances, you may need to add an exception in the firewall.
-
Open Windows Firewall Settings:
- Click on the Windows Start button or press the Windows key on your keyboard.
- Type "Windows Security" and press Enter to open the Windows Security app.
- In the Windows Security app, click on "Firewall & Network Protection."
-
Add an App Exception:
- Click on the "Allow an app through firewall" link.
- Click on the "Change settings" button (you might need administrator privileges for this).
Look for "Macro Micro VR Service" in the list of allowed apps and features. If you don't see it, click on the "Allow another app..." button. Find the 'Macro Micro VR Service' executable file (usually a .exe file) and select it.
-
After selecting the MMVS executable, make sure both the "Private" and "Public" checkboxes are checked to allow it on all types of networks.
-
Click "OK" to apply and save your changes.
-
Launch MMVS and test whether you can host games without any firewall-related issues.
By following these steps, you should be able to add MMVS as an exception to the Windows Firewall, ensuring that it can host games without being blocked. Make sure to keep your firewall exceptions up to date and secure to protect your computer from potential security threats. If you encounter any issues, double-check the firewall settings and the game's executable file path.
