autojump: tab complete writing two underscores

I uploaded a demo here:  https://asciinema.org/a/662192

When I tab complete with autojump it's placing two underscores.
I'm not sure how to debug this.
(Are there log messages?)

I'm on NixOS. 

autojump if i complete it myself works well otherwise
