I don't have any code yet. It's the code in the documentation that shows the behaviour described.
Hopefully, this helps you to find the issue.

We’ve already fixed this issue in the codebase; however, the example in the documentation hasn’t been updated yet. We’ll make sure to update and fix the example as well at the earliest opportunity.
