Hi,
I have just followed your instructions for the RPI5 Chrony timeserver with an Uputronics v6.4 pHat - the results are awesome - Thank-you!!!
A couple of things that didn't work for me:

  1. I ended up changing the CPU governor settings using rpi-cpu.gov as the files you referenced didn't exist on my Rpi5 (Brand new clean install of Bookworm 64-bit lite) aka /etc/init.d/raspi-config did not exist and I didn't fancy creating one from scratch :-)

  2. The sed example to change chrony to Nice=-10 appended to every line. (I think I got 59 extra lines) I added a couple of escapes to fix this:
sudo sed -i '/[Service]/a Nice=-10' /usr/lib/systemd/system/chrony.service. (I hope this isn't something local to my bashrc, apologies if its is )

Thank-you again - this is an amazing collection of insights.

Simon
