Chat Location

Description

The chat starts in the top left by default, but can be easily moved into the lower left corner of your screen.

Note that you may need to move the achievement tracker depending on where you move the chat, as it may overlap. The achievement tracker is controlled in the hudlayout.res file.

Enabling

1. Navigate to ..\budhud\#customization
2. Move either bh_chat_lowerleft.res into the _enabled folder

Manually Moving the Chat

If you'd like to make your own changes to the chat's location, follow the same steps as above and then open the bh_chat_lowerleft.res file and modify the x and y positions to your liking.

Related Console Commands

• hud_saytext_time <#> - Controls how long a message will stay on screen in seconds

hud_saytext_time 0 disables chat from appearing unless you open your chat window
