Select Topic AreaBug GitHub Feature AreaOther BodyHello guys, I'm experiencing an issue that may affect accessibility and user experience. When my GitHub Copilot subscription expired, I noticed a banner saying "Start using Copilot free". However, when I click on it, I get redirected to this URL:
This immediately enters into an infinite redirect loop between To try to resolve the issue, I have already:
Unfortunately, nothing has worked — the redirect loop continues and prevents me from using Copilot or accessing the signup page. Thanks! Screen.Recording.2025-06-05.at.22.58.14.mov |

Was already using Free, on opening Visual Studio today was logged out. Sign up in extension does not work. [Conversations Information] Need to get an auth token. Logged into Github in browser, states "Your GitHub Copilot subscription has ended", attempting to "Start using Copilot Free" results in redirect loop. Different browsers, cleared cache/cookies, same result. |

+1 Copilot Free. https://github.com/copilot & https://github.com/github-copilot/signup both return 302 redirects to each other. |

For everyone still having these issues, just wait until GitHub fixes it, do not flood their support. |
