Glad to hear you're enjoying Bun — it's definitely an exciting project that's moving fast and bringing fresh ideas to the JavaScript ecosystem. 🚀

That said, I wouldn't say it's going to "destroy" npm — at least not anytime soon. Here's why:

  • npm is deeply integrated into the Node.js ecosystem, with millions of packages and years of tooling built around it.
  • Bun does a lot of things out of the box (like bundling, transpiling, testing, running, and its own package manager), which is super convenient — but it’s still newer, and not every project or team is ready to switch from mature Node + npm setups.
