Copilot Premium Requests management

A few weeks ago there was an improvement in copilot premium requests management that highly decreased the quota consumption. Somehow, from today (september 1st) it has increased the consumption again. For example, only today it has consumed 26% of the month quota.

Using copilot claude sonnet 4 model.

Are you guys feeling the same?

It would be helpful if you share your workflow and how you're using CodeCompanion. Nothing has changed in the plugin recently that would affect this. I refactored the adapter but didn't change any functionality.

Very strange @olimorris. A few days ago I was using the same frequency I'm using right now and I was able to work the entire month. A single prompt (like you did in the tool ls demo) wasn't consuming any request. It seems something related to session management, I don't know.
Well, I'm using MCPHub and save chat extension, but I didn't let them automatically enabled.

It seems that the logic of each prompt spend a premium request didn't apply for the second demo you provided. It's curious because my setup was like that a few days ago.

Test with the minimal.lua file. That's what it's designed for

I tested with minimal.lua. It's consuming less requests now but I still feel there's something wrong here. Anyway, I'll stick with that for while but I'm wondering if an older commit of CC still has this behavior. Maybe I'll try it later.

If my config is working, the minimal.lua is working, surely it has to be your config?! Try removing all extensions, they might be doing things in the background.
