Video settings menu /Hidden Picture Menu
There is a hidden menu for changing some additional settings that is accessible from any HDMI or Tuner input (NOT from within applications or the home screen). Press the Mute button 5 times quickly. If not menu appears try another input. The input selected does not need a valid signal.

To display a full screen detailed diagnostic view of the current input mode and settings, while on a HDMI input source, open settings > general > Programmes, and hover over Programme Tuning & Settings and press 111111
A full screen display showing media diagnostic information should appear. Press back to exit.
There is a service menu that can only be accessed by purchasing a specific remote control (this can be found on Amazon/eBay). This menu has advanced settings however this is not designed for consumer use and can cause permanent damage to the TV. THe service menu can be opened with the https://github.com/Maassoft/ColorControl tool.
Steps to open service menu:
- open ColorControl
- Set
Show advanced options under the expert buttonon the options tab - Change to the LG remote tab
- If the TV is not detected - add the device with the ip address
- Accept the prompt on the TV to allow access
- select
Expert > instart - close the menu with the TV remote and the home button.
