Italicising text in Markdown editor causes lowercase 'L' to appear capitalised

• OS Version: Windows_NT x64 10.0.26100

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open any markdown file
2. Create new text containing the lowercase letter "l"
3. Italicise it with two asterisks surrounding it
4. The "l" character should now appear uppercase, despite still being lowercased. This can be seen by opening up the markdown preview, which correctly shows an italicised lowercase "l".
