The SD card's rootfs partition currently gets formatted as ext4.
Btrfs is a way better filesystem for wear-sensitive devices (e.g., SD cards, SSDs, etc.) as it has built-in wear leveling. Additionally, it's way less prone to corruption when the device gets turned off without warning.
As I sit here reflashing my SD card after a power outage corrupted the filesystem (or perhaps after I exhausted the endurance of my SD card - will find out soon), I wanted to pitch the idea here and see if others think it's a reasonable suggestion!
