upgraded to OctoPi 1.1.0cam - camera stopped working

Downloaded and flashed OctoPi* 1.1.0cam (build 2024.11.05.100055) (to upgrade from python 3.7.3) - backup from same OctoPrint version restored.
Before, the flat-cable connected internal camera of RPi3B worked fine.
I see no other chices than the "classic"

the camera is there, and is somehow in use:

Reverted to the "normal" OctoPi 1.1.0 and the camera works again.
The "new" camera stack is not ready for release, and obviously misleading. That image should be renamed to "experimental" or "beta" at best.

Yes, and please consider removing the "new" version from RPI imager, it misguided me to think I selected a new,better, more future-proof version.
