Does depo downloader delete old files when upgrading to a new manifest

So I started backing up all of a game's manifests and came to the realization that DepotDownloader allows me to upgrade a game if it is already downloaded. But the question arose that, does DepotDownloader actually remove files if they were removed in the next manifest?

So lets say i'm upgrading from this build to this build would DepotDownloader actually remove the files that got removed in the "next" manifest?
