These are some notes for the future developers of LinkedMusic.
- The open source support is great. If you have any problems, post your questions here: openlink/virtuoso-opensource.
- There exists an enterprise version of Virtuoso; however, it does not seem to offer additional functionalities useful to the LinkedMusic project.
- There is a MusicBrainz Cartridge for Virtuoso. There is no documentation of it and it seems like it's deprecated, but it might be a possible direction to import MusicBrainz onto Virtuoso.
- Documentations on their website might be outdated or incomplete. If you come into a road block, make sure to ask the developers on their GitHub.
- Virtuoso may also have deprecated add-ons and known, unpatched problems. Again, ask the developers.
- Make sure to assign roles to any new users, as role-less users can only log in via isql (command line).
