How to update TreeDataGrid view?

Hello,

public ObservableCollection<TaskNode> Tasks { get; } = [];
public HierarchicalTreeDataGridSource<TaskNode> TasksSource { get; set; }

when I am adding by code behind a new child node to any node of a TreeDataGrid the view is not updated accordingly.

Only adding nodes to the top level is reflected in the view 'automatically'.

Tasks.Add(new TaskNode()); // the view is updated, the new node is shown
Tasks[0].Children.Add(new TaskNode()); // the view is not updated.

I tried PropertyChanged events but with no success.

So, how to do update the view of a TreeDataGrid when the data model was altered by code behind?

How is Children defined? Is it an ObservableCollection on it's own?
