Summary of Changes

Hello @havetisyan, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request addresses a security enhancement by implementing stricter validation for membership decisions within the AthenZ ZMS service. It ensures that a user with approval privileges cannot approve or reject their own role or group membership, thereby closing a potential loophole and reinforcing the integrity of access control processes. The changes specifically prevent an approver from being the same as the member whose membership is under review.

Highlights

  • Role Membership Decision Validation: Enhanced the validatePutMembershipDecisionAuthorization method to prevent a principal from approving or rejecting a role membership if they are the member being reviewed. Previously, it only prevented self-approval of one's own request.
  • Group Membership Decision Validation: Enhanced the validatePutGroupMembershipDecisionAuthorization method to prevent a principal from approving or rejecting a group membership if they are the member being reviewed. This mirrors the change made for role memberships.

Code Review

This pull request correctly implements the logic to prevent a principal from approving or rejecting their own membership request. My feedback includes a couple of minor improvements for consistency and to avoid redundant method calls within the new logic.
