Topic Description

  • grub: EXPERIMENTAL: update to 2.12-7+999 EDIT BEFORE MERGING
    • Use https.git.savannah.gnu.org which is way faster.
    • Use in-house script for generating linux entries.
    • Ship gnulib ourselves, using https.git.savannah.gnu.org.
  • apt: take linux-kernel-rc into account for autoremoval
  • kernel-build-common: update to 17
    • Enable multi-kernel build support (autobuild/$ARCH/config.{4k,16k}.
    • Drop all executable bits from scripts and use explicit sourcing.

    • Rebase and perform due diligence on all patches.
    • Drop upstreamed patches.
    • Refresh configurations.
    • Refresh LS2K0500 BMC patchset to v10.
    • Bump loonggpu-kernel-dkms requirement to >= 1.0.1~alpha~lnd25.5-5.
    • Fix Loongson 8250 driver for v6.17.
    • Temporarily drop Collabora HDMI patches, which breaks build.
    • Drop drm_gem_vram_{,un}pin calls in the ast VRAM support (test
      needed).
    • Drop SMCv0 cpufreq patch again, pending fix for LS2K3000.
    • (loongarch64) Enable CONFIG_MMC_LOONGSON2 as needed by LS2K3000.
    • Backport two patches for quirks to fix incorrect mute TLV on certain
      USB audio devices.
    • Fix locally-maintained GPIO drivers (AAEON, NCT6102).
    • Backport a fix for incorrect PCIe MSI handling, a regression introduced
      by our SG2042 backports.
    • Track patches at AOSC-Tracking/linux @ aosc/v6.17-rc3
      (HEAD: 4b4c1e5f79f4d284e38dd0c91355bf56e204d6fc).
