Haha! VNote provides both disable-able auto-save and backup file methods to prevent from data loss, because in my Vim config I do not turn on auto-save either. Yes, I like to edit around and undo or just quit without saving to avoid changing the original data accidentally. Enjoy! |

I have been looking for a note-taking program for a long time and all of them, including the popular Obsidian, have a NON-DISABLE autosave function.

Autosave is a horror and a curse, it is scary to open a document with it, accidentally instead of CTRL+C you can press CTRL+X or edit something else and not even notice.
I do not understand why they push non-disable autosave everywhere...
And thank you again, I have been looking for such a program for a long time and finally found this VNOTE :)
