Tiptap V3

Hey Tiptap Community!

We're happy to say that Tiptap V3 is now in stable. We made a lot of discovery while working on this release.

Where's the changelog?

First off - if you're wondering why there are no changelogs for now - the changelog was too long for Github's max message length. I'm working on writing one manually that includes all important updates for Tiptap V3.

In the meanwhile take a look at the upgrade guide and use this thread to report problems you encounter with Tiptap V3. Feel free to create issues and link them here. I'll try to fix everything ASAP so you guys can go on with your work as usual. A major release over more than one year is tough to test and get right on the first shot and I hope you all will help us get it even better!

Changes going forward

I think we as a development and OSS team figured that having huge major releases like this is something we don't want to go forward with. It's hard to test everything, migrations will become harder and harder and our main and next branches diverge to much which makes it hard to control what changes go where.

So for the future forward we'll probably will release major changes faster (no worries you won't have to upgrade every 2 weeks though!)

Why the silent release

To be honest: we were on our company offsite in Malaga working hard on our open projects including our V3 release for Tiptap, Tiptap Pro and everything related which took longer than expected. As said above the changelog wasn't ready yet and we decided to just do it silently for now.

We will have an official announcement and changelog later this week.
