Work needed to bring the user experience of DocC version of this book up to the same level as the old publication pipeline.

These issues are places where we're willing to accept a temporary regression for readers of the book, as part of moving forward into a DocC workflow. They don't block us from moving to DocC for publication — however, we need to confirm that they're possible to solve and that we believe a resolution will be coming.
