Compatibility of salt-master 3007 and salt minion 3006?

Hallo,
we are running a bunch of salted hosts a mix of many ubuntu systems and several SUSE-SLES 15.6 machines. Ubuntu24.04 and other currently are using since recently salt 3007.4 whereas SuSE-SLES is still using default 3006.0 which is currently our salt-master. As probably known since minions running 3007.4 cat run together with a salt-server running 3006, see here:
3007.4 or 3006.12 minion doesn't connect to earlier master
This was also the effect I observerved.

So my question is if it would help to install an ubuntu system with salt 3007.4 to be the salt-master and use 3007.4 minions on ubuntu and 3006.0 minions on SLES? Does this work, or is a 3007.04 master also not compatible with 3006.0 minion system?

3007.4 master should work for all current minions (notwithstanding the other issues that are unfixed in latest release, e.g #68079). @dwoz is working on coalescing all fixes for a new point release hopefully soon
