Alith as sudo not working as expected in polkadot js api

I didn't want to make an issue out of this in case I'm incorrectly doing something yet.

I'm using the latest type CallOrigin = EnsureAccountId20;

When attempting to forceSetBalance with Alith as the sudo, it doesn't work, but it does work when doing transfers. Same thing happens on the polkadotjs frontend.

I get the error:

There are no runtime error logs.

Is this how it should behave or am I missing something perhaps
