Micropython's .uf2 firmware does not exist in the micropython's official website for Raspberrypi pico 2 W. When can we expect the official firmware?

Note that Raspberry Pi have not yet updated their pico-sdk to support the Pico 2 W. When it is updated, I'm sure a MicroPython release will follow shortly after.

P.S: In the latest version (2.1.0), they have indicated that pico2_w board is supported.

PR #16313 contains the RPi Pico 2 W board definition; it's currently under review. Please watch it if you're interested - and help test if possible!

Although it must be indicated that lightsleep and alarm pool -which are the main concerns of the PR- are not used. Honestly I don't know much about alarm pool and its bug in the board at all.

Thanks, Brilliant. I have a pico 2 W handy. I will give it a go tomorrow and report back. I have been testing with pico and pico 2 only to date, as nothing appears on the micropython.org site for releases or previews for the pico 2 W.

flash_nuked the pico2w (got flash_nuke.uf2 from Raspberry pi official site)
put preview.88 on it.
Ran the test software
Good news and bad news:
The good news, the situation is now very simple:

1. function ordering does not interfere with lightsleep
2. lightsleep does not interfere with timekeeping
3. Print output appears normal

The bad news:
lightsleep(2500) does not seem to sleep at all, which means the difficulties above don't appear.
(Doesn't do lot for power consumption either!)

Sorry I can't be the bearer of better news.

Simplest test program, should produce 5s on 5s off. Result now: very rapid flashing
