layout of the keyboard

Hiho,

i just wanted to ask how to get the layout of a specific keyboard into the editior? right now it works, but it is ugly and it looks like a single board and not two different sides. i cant figure out how i can make it pretty (just like the totem for example)

I have another app, Keymap Layout Helper, that's not really that user friendly but let's you do some things without a lot of manual JSON editing.

If you have the JSON already you can paste it in the left panel, otherwise go through the import dialog. Depending on your keyboard it may be as simple as importing your .dtsi file. Let me know what your keyboard is if you need something more specific.

Once its loaded you can do some amount of visual editing by drag-selecting a number of keys and hitting M to move them horizontally or vertically. Rotation is a little more complicated and I don't think I ever got around to implementing helpers for that.

but where do i have to put it? i cant find anything similar in my totem zmk firmware repo.

You can paste that into config/info.json or config/<keyboardname>.json (matching config/<keyboardname>.keymap) and the app will use that to render the layout.
