Just amazing project!!!
I heard about this BirdNET-PI project in a recent Field Ornithology class.
Since May I've had one going and I can't wait to see what fall migration
and winter brings. Thank you to all who have contributed to this!

I have to point out that this repository is not alive and going, it has not received any updates in 2 years and is already failing in many respects, repository owner really should archive this repository at this point. All new users should use https://github.com/Nachtzuster/BirdNET-Pi fork instead which is at least being maintained to run on current OS etc.

Or if you wish to look at actively improved alternate maybe check out https://github.com/tphakala/birdnet-go which I am developing.

I have made an attempt to contact Patrick, who created the program, and asked him to write a short information stating that it is no longer suitable to be installed.
