metric-overrides feature in the configs seem to be ignored

Following the example in reference.conf:

  # Specify metric name overrides here
  metric-overrides {
    // example:
    //  "span.processing-time" {
    //    name = new-name
    //
    //    delete-tags = [
    //      tag-name
    //    ]
    //
    //    rename-tags {
    //      "tag-name" = new-tag-name
    //    }
    //  }
  }

I had attempted this:

kamon.prometheus.metric-overrides {
  "span.processing-time" {
    name = "new-name"

    delete-tags = []

    rename-tags {
      "operation" = "new-tag-name"
    }
  }
}

But looking at localhost:9095/metrics I see those metrics coming back just as they have without this configuration

span_processing_time_seconds_bucket{operation="GET",span_kind="client",http_status_code="200",error="false",le="0.005",component="akka.http.client",http_method="GET"} 0.0

Without any changes. What is required in my case is to copy the name and value of a tag to a new tag_2. As far as I can tell this is the way to do it and it looks like it is being ignored for some reason.

Using:

  "io.kamon" %% "kamon-bundle" % "2.7.0"
  "io.kamon"  %% "kamon-prometheus" "2.7.0"
  "io.kamon"  %% "kamon-opentelemetry" % "2.7.0"

(with a .cross(CrossVersion.for3Use2_13) if that changes anything)
