preferredCountries does not work in 25.3.1?

I see preferredCountries option stopped working after uodate to 25.3.1, am I right? Or there is something wrong in my snippet?

I will answer myself: here #1504 (comment) it is mentioned countryOrder should be used instead.

What's more preferredCountries is completely absent in the codebase so it looks like it was removed
