Have also sent this in an email but thought it worth replicating my questions here for anyone else that finds them useful.

Just a couple questions:

1. Can I run the R tasks on Posit Cloud? - it saves me having to download R and RStudio onto my laptop and I prefer being able to access my R files from any computer in the world rather than saving files to a hard-drive. I can download R and RStudio if you think it would provide a significantly better experience.
2. The code your provided in the prerequisite to check we had everything installed isn’t working – any idea how to fix it? Code attached as image.

Apologies if it’s a really easy fix – I’m relatively new to R.

Yes you can, good suggestion as an alternative to codespaces. Related question: did you try with codespaces?

Oof that looks like a messy pak fail. It failed to download the {rvest} package. Have you tried the following more standard way of installing packages, e.g. as follows?:

install.packages("rvest")

HI, when I ran this codes:
collisions_west_yorkshire_sf = collisions_2023_sf |>
filter(police_force == "West Yorkshire") |>

Arrange in descending order of accident severity

so most severe accidents are plotted last:

arrange(desc(accident_severity))

It showed "Error in data.matrix(data) :
'list' object cannot be coerced to type 'double'

How to fix it?

Hi @mhwang1207 have you loaded the packages with the following first?

library(tidyverse) # install if not already installed
# Then the rest of your code

I did run all the codes include 'library(tidyverse)'

I used my way to subset the data and it works

After reinstalling the "tidyverse" package, it works now, Thank you!
