I hit this issue on NixOS by upgrading to 25.05, which sent me directly to 1.138.0. I was unsure how to run a specific version of immich, and had to run this to fix the issue:

nix-shell -I nixpkgs=https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/archive/785d183e69c0899387751928fbdcc316b9aac97e.tar.gz -p immich --run bash

Which uses a commit that points at immich 1.136.0 in nixpkgs. Then I ran this command, borrowed from the systemd service file (with IMMICH_CONFIG_FILE replaced with the value from /etc/systemd/system/immich-server.service)

sudo -u immich -g immich bash -c 'IMMICH_CONFIG_FILE=... REDIS_SOCKET=/run/redis-immich/redis.sock DB_URL=postgresql:///immich?host=/run/postgresql IMMICH_HOST=0.0.0.0 IMMICH_MACHINE_LEARNING_URL=http://localhost:3003 IMMICH_MEDIA_LOCATION=/var/lib/immich IMMICH_PORT=2283 server'

That failed initially due this issue, but after running the ALTER TABLE command to fix that and running the above command again, everything is working on 1.138.0.
