Configurator Mission Planner (v8) - Missions not displaying

I made and saved two brief test waypoint missions to file, but on re-loading into MP while the correct file title appears as seemingly re-loaded, there's no waypoint list I can see nor waypoints showing on map. (Notepad shows expected text, they are not blank files)

This is a bug which is fixed by iNavFlight/inav-configurator#2371. It's caused by Geozones so maybe a fix is to use Geozones in some way which avoid the error that prevents missions from loading (haven't used Geozones so f=don't know if this will work or not).

To be clear for others, using 8.0.1, I generated two slightly different and differently named 3 waypoint mission files and saved them. They both appear in Windows Explorer and can be inspected with Notepad, they "seem" to contain expected data. However, while they re-loaded to MC and it stated on the map page that it was loaded on screen, there was no list of waypoints, nor any waypoints shown on the map. I even went right out to shutdown and restarted, still the same.

A flying buddy sent me one of his mission files overnight. While he's also on 8.0.1, his four waypoint file is worse, it looks OK in Notepad, but does not load to MC.

TODAY I also get "2025-04-30 @ 11:19:22 -- Unexpected error: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'geozoneCount')" .......................... even on mine.......................

Not trying to do anything more than a simple three waypoint mission, not concerned if it hovers or lands at this stage, as long as manual take over is possible.

Well, that is ODD.

Have not updated anything. Suddenly as well as two icons (the only two visible) to save and load missions into MC on laptop, four more have suddenly appeared, save and load FC, and save and load EEPROM. And missions now load, and missions display waypoints on the MC Map.

I forgot to mention that the bug above occurs when Configurator isn't connected to the flight controller. The unexpected error you get is because Configurator can't retrieve geozoneCount data from the FC. This causes Configurator to stumble preventing it from loading the WP mission correctly. When you're connected to the FC this problem goes away and everything works correctly ... as you found out. The additional buttons you mention appear because you're connected to the FC and can therefore save/load missions to it.

So make sure you're connected to the FC to avoid problems with missions loading correctly due to the above mentioned bug.
