qlog always sends the minimum set of fields required by the service.
See above for answers. Some optional fields are required depending on the type of QSO type - for example, SAT. What a service does with fields it doesn't need is a question for that service.
Both fields don't show the same date if you are using UTF8 characters. Please refer ADIF specification for more details why QLog defines both fiels. In case of service, ADI format is use what means that QLog must use ASCII-type fields. If you want to know how QLog recalculates International characters to ASCII, please, refer the source code |

How can I tell or set which fields are uploaded to LoTW, eQsl, etc?
Are all fields sent and the service then uses what they want and discards the rest?
I see there are two fields: "Notes" and "Notes (ASCII)" (Both show the same data...?) and am wonder if these fields or other field(s) can be considered local-only fields.
