What Fields Are Uploaded To Confirm QSOs?

How can I tell or set which fields are uploaded to LoTW, eQsl, etc?
Are all fields sent and the service then uses what they want and discards the rest?
I see there are two fields: "Notes" and "Notes (ASCII)" (Both show the same data...?) and am wonder if these fields or other field(s) can be considered local-only fields.

qlog always sends the minimum set of fields required by the service.

See above for answers. Some optional fields are required depending on the type of QSO type - for example, SAT. What a service does with fields it doesn't need is a question for that service.

Both fields don't show the same date if you are using UTF8 characters. Please refer ADIF specification for more details why QLog defines both fiels. In case of service, ADI format is use what means that QLog must use ASCII-type fields. If you want to know how QLog recalculates International characters to ASCII, please, refer the source code

OK - Thanks. Yes, the "etc" was an attempt to cover the other services. Good to know, though. Maybe a future version could offer a select-able option to be excluded?

The ADIF spec says that the notes are "recommended use: information of interest to the logging station's operator". Would probably be safe to exclude them from any qsl service upload.

Thanks. I sometimes like to enter notes in case I come across an op again which could give the impression that my memory is still working :-) I just thought my notes might not be best for QSL confirmations.
