lotus v1.8.0 Release and Network v12 Upgrade Timeline

Note: Per the new release philosophy the lotus team is practicing, which uses an even minor version to indicate a network upgrade. Therefore, this upcoming version will be v1.8.0 that being developed based off lotus v1.6.0. lotus v1.8.0 will integrate actor v4, supports network sync improvements for network v12. The current v1.7.0-rc1 will be bumped to v1.9.0-rc1, which includes everything from v1.7.0-rc1 and new codes for v1.8.0 to support the network v12 upgrade. The master branch version will be updated to v1.11.0-dev.

Upgrade Epoch is Rescheduled to 712320

📣Based on community feedback, core devs have agreed to postpone the mainnet upgrade epoch to 712320 around 6 am UTC April 29th, which is 8 hours later than the previously planned timeline! Please see above for each implementation's release timeline.

lotus v1.8.0 is out

📣lotus v1.8.0 is available here. Update both your daemon and miner to v1.8.0 or up before epoch 712320 or you will lose sync with the network!
You do NOT need to delete your Lotus repo. See Upgrade in Place for instructions on how to upgrade safely.

The upgrade epoch has passed and we are observing new blocks in the network! You can check that by running lotus state get-actor f00 and Code=(fil/4/system) indicates your node has finished actor v3→v4 migration successfully!
