code repository contains an open source license

  • Yes, I believe that's correct. To my understanding the code in the repository is covered by open source license(s).
  • Follow CONTRIBUTING document to contribute code
  • In particular - to get your PR accepted - sign CLA

website displays a proprietary one

  • My understanding is that the CLA gives Enso company right to release contributed code under any license of choice
  • which explains why the download for end users comes with the "licensing" limitation of 45 days of use
  • nobody is however prevented from getting the source from the code repository and building it in an "open source manner"
