Launching with Project/Folder from CLI?

I'm trying to make the switch from VS Code to Theia, but there is one (laughable, but quite annoying) piece that I'm missing: How can I pass a folder to open in Theia when launching it? I've tried a few random things (I'm on macOS), but nothing works so far:

open -a TheiaIDE . 
open -a TheiaIDE --args .     
open -a TheiaIDE --args --app-project-path .
open -a TheiaIDE --args --electron-app-path .

This all just launches Theia or brings a running instance to the foreground. Any ideas? With VS Code, it's simply code .

cc @tsmaeder Does this work for you? When trying to pass any arguments in the TheiaIDE.exe, I also just get the normal Theia instance. Even just running ./TheiaIDE.exe --help on Windows simply brings up the IDE window, showing no help.

Opening a folder like .\Theia.exe c:\users works just fine for me on Windows. I remember having worked on this a while back. @misto what version are you running and how is it installed?

I've the MacOS ARM TheiaIDE.dmg (Version 1.64.100) downloaded and installed by moving to Applications. But I see that it's also on Homebrew, I'll check if that works.

Nope, but it looks like it doesn't do any different than what I did manually :-)

Ok, it's probably some weird MacOS thing. If I launch it directly by /Applications/TheiaIDE.app/Contents/MacOS/TheiaIDE ., then it opens the folder as expected. The downside is that it is still attached to the Shell and shows all the log output.
