Hello. I've never posted on Meshlab's discussion board, so I thought I might I might give it a try. Mostly , don't do really serious work with meshlab, but I've been playing with it for years. Photogrammetry with Meshroom has been my latest hobby project. I have one question that I would like to ask.
Uniform mesh resampling takes a couple of passes in order to thicken a 2-manifold without altering it's outermost boundary's size. For instance, I can resample it with a negative offset the first time around, and then the second time I can produce a thickness with absolute distance, wherein the new size will meet with the previously unsampled mesh. My interest in this technique is to produce an economical 3D print. I have a model from photogrammetry with a texture, and I would like to print it out after thickening it, but I don't know how best to put the texture on the resampled mesh. Wavefront obj format is what I have to start and so I would like also to have that after the process.
