I'll try to improve the quality of the release notes in the future, but I don't really have much passion for computers or the internet anymore, sadly. |

Since the last time I saw you around @rubyFeedback, there hasn't been that many larger changes I think. Mostly improved support for BSD, bug fixes and refactors. I've got a few ideas for improvements but I'm holding myself back until I finish PRs I've got open already. |

Hey there Brenden and others,
I multitask a lot and my brain adjusted to "fire-and-forget", meaning I often forget what I did 30 days ago. :P
This also means I don't follow all projects out there that are interesting to me, simply because it would take too much time. I thus visit projects sometimes more, sometimes less. so in other words: I don't know what has all changed in, say, the last 3 months or 6 months.
conky is on my todo list for finding more awesomeness in it. For instance, I'd love to make buttons etc... work; I think others got it to work via lua. But I need to verify this with other activities I have to do, so I am not up-to-date usually. Then I have to try to collect information, which is distributed in github issues, or on the world wide web and so forth, which takes times.
Now to the specific request: could conky get some kind of changelog-centric blog or vlog? Technically I think it could just be a changelog, but with slightly more explanations for the larger features or changes. Right now I do not seem able to find a central changelog or FAQ or "important changes" or so. I think it would be nice if, every once in a while, there could be a summary overview. This does not have to happen that often! Once or perhaps twice a year should more than suffice; perhaps once a year, like a yearly review at the end of the year, could suffice, before the next year starts. (I am trying to think to keep this time investment to a minimum, but still be somewhat useful for people who do not regularly check on conky. It may also help generate more interest in conky. This works for some projects, in my opinion, such as jruby, where headius gives information on changes, e. g. java+ruby. At any rate, thanks for reading this small suggestion.)
