Bedrock Guardrails Cross-Region inference

Hi all,

I am working with Bedrock Guardrails using the bedrock runtime client.

I wanted to use the cross-regional support but I do not understand or see where to configure the Guardrail profile ID.

I see that these are the allowed parameter to apply a Guardrail.

class ApplyGuardrailRequestTypeDef(TypedDict):
    guardrailIdentifier: str
    guardrailVersion: str
    source: GuardrailContentSourceType
    content: Sequence[GuardrailContentBlockTypeDef]

My goal is to create guardrails in one US region and use them in other US regions too.

However, I’m wondering if I misunderstood the purpose of cross-regional support. I wonder if it is intended only for managing "traffic bursts"?
