It'd be nice to have a preconfigured cpu model for the Pentium M of the Centrino era.
I don't know if it was equal to the pentium 4 model present in bochs.
Pentium M was very popular with Windows XP.

1st two were: Banias and Dothan

I could add Banias model if you interested, it was the first core I was involved in so still have some sentiments)

Forget that. I saw that it was almost identical to the pentium 4 model.

BUT, as you have just implemented 3DNow! (great work!) maybe bochs could have an Athlon XP model, which was a competitor of pentium 686, while the K6 was a competitor of pentium 586.
I think the athlon XP was a 686 but I could be wrong.

I have added support for first AMD Athlon CPUID model.
It supports 3DNow! and 3DNow! Ext but doesn't have SSE (for more fun)

I saw it. The first Athlon was also an important step in the processors history.
But I think the Athlon XP would be more interesting.
Also it seems that FXSAVE/FXRSTOR actually ARE SSE instructions. Are you sure it is a good idea to change that in the code?

The are not. First Athlon has them even without SSE.
They were introduced for backward compatibility with operating systems which wanted to use them instead of old x87 save/restore.

Edit: Actually too bad, they are not SSE and not P6.
Katmai doesn't have it, but Athlon does. May be the reason they have separate CPUID flag is first Athlon.
I didn't want to add separate CPUID flag for FFXR so tried to compromise.
But probably easier would be to discard Athlon and do Athlon XP with SSE instead.

I've upgraded Athlon CPUID model to Athlon XP to avoid dealing with this FXSR fun.
So now we have Athlon XP model available
