I remember back in 2016/7 studing graphic design when I had a 1366x768 laptop and some programs were better at bigger res but and for a while I could even trick the display in some convenient way, than the only workaround was connecting to the TV which is not FHD either, but could accept 1080i input so never used it.
Then I upgraded to a FHD laptop, and later during quarantine I would had loved being able to follow class streams on teams while following thigs on the other, I think I did that with no problem, just using the other computer, but sharing the screen was the inconvenient thing that teams or any other similar product has if following on another device.
I also discovered that there are dummy HDMI connectors which might have been there for years and I could have bought back then... Anyway, even if that's a small gadet, this doesn't require wasting resources on shipping and manufacturing that product (Althought they might still have a reason to be used, on linux, mac or other devices where you don't have admin access, for any reason)
Nowdays I still want to go 2K, and despite having a monitor, it's still useful when I can't use it and I'm also using it with another laptop to serve paired with another open source application named Deskreen.
I can't believe it has taken us that long, but something like this is now possible thanks to you. This event feels similar to the transition from unregistered hypercam 2 (remember the old youtube days plagued with it?) to OBS.
