Yes, the behaviour you've seen is correct.

• all tries to perform the requested action on all packages available via sherpa, whether they are installed or not. This can create a lot of skipped follow-on actions and packages.
• installed limits the requested action to only installed packages.
• upgradable limits this even further by selecting only packages where a new package version has been released. new has the same effect.

To upgrade only the packages that need upgrading, use sherpa upgrade upgradable (which you have done) or the shorter sherpa upgrade new.

Now, I must ask about that colour scheme in your screenshot as there's usually not quite so-much green shown. Are you using the terminal application on macOS?

Thanks for getting back to me. So, the issue I wanted to report and phrased badly is that using the option
"-all" did not perform the action for the packages that ARE installed and upgradeable:

Like SAB, Medusa, Increase Timeouts (see the screenshot).
You can see that these packages were skipped as well with "(installation package unavailable)"

But when I tried specifically using "upgradeable" option, it upgraded the eligible packages that it skipped with "all"
Does that make more sense?

Now as to my screenshot / CLI colours:
I am using Kitty to connect from my Windows to the Qnap NAS with the following settings for my SSH connection:

Kitty overides a few of the colours if I configure it so :)

My apologies, I misunderstood your first point. That looks like a bug I'll need to investigate. I've put it on the todo list. Thank you for reporting it. 👍🏽

Regarding the terminal colours: no-problems. If you've set them that way, then there's no issue. I just hoped it wasn't the macOS terminal messing with terminal colours again to make them fit the user's desktop theme.
