Failing when trying to run AppImage on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

I followed the giving installation instructions, but when I run ./Paperlib.AppImage, it fails with:

[807690:0411/131120.353507:FATAL:setuid_sandbox_host.cc(158)] The SUID sandbox helper binary was found,
but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make
sure that /tmp/.mount_Paperl0WQKqq/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755.
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

Any suggestion on how to fix this? Is this an issue with how the app was packaged? All solutions I found were related to some way of running it in an insecure manner. Running on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS.

Hi~ As far as I've tired, I'm not able to reproduce this issue on my Ubuntu 24.04 instance. Would you like to provide more information about your environment i.e. any special configuration or tweaked features?

What kind of information do you want? I didn't do many customizations to the UI per se, but I have lots of different programs installed. I'm running Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS.

I found out in this answer that this might happen because of a bug with apparmor. It is also happening with Electron and other AppImage apps. This answer seems to be a better solution, since I don't need to deactivate apparmor.
