Seen at PyCon DE/PyData 2025 to encourage interaction with and between remote attendees:

  • Text channel "#remote-attendees"
  • Voice channel "#remote-attendees-voice"

To consider:

  • How to moderate voice channels?
  • How to align this with other offers for remote attendees (if available)?
  • What is the purpose of these channels (e.g. for a channel description)? Which topics are expected or encouraged?

Let's add a voice and text channel. If there are issues, we can shut them down ad-hoc.
