Hi John. Unfortunately that one won't work with the 1.69 firmware. Regardng the battery, quite a few of the boards can support batteries and charging. However, the voltage of a Lithium battery is around 4.2 volts maximum. This is not high enough for the USB host port to work, which needs 5 volts. If you are keen for battery power, a better option is a USB "power bank" type of device. These include a circuit that boosts the internal battery up to 5 volts. |

Has any one tried using the ESP32-S3 with 1.8 inch display work with the 1.69 firmware? Link here: https://www.waveshare.com/esp32-s3-touch-amoled-1.8.htm. Wonder if it works as the 1.8 inch version has added advantage of a built-in battery.
