hyprpland workspaces seem to be buggy after version 13.0?

Hi i am new to this discussion page so do let me know if i missed out on any guidlines i have to follow here.

For context:

I used to run version 13.0. Downgrading to version 12.0 immediately solved the issue. Currently on fedora 42, hyprland 45.2

My workspaces are set to not be persistent. I have styled my waybar such that when focused on a workspace, the number is shown as well highlighted as follows:

The Issue:

Lets say i am running a dual monitor setup. I have workspaces 1 and 2 on monitor 1, and 3 on monitor 2. I am currently on workspace 2 in monitor 1.

Now i switch to workspace 3 using my keyboard shortcut. The workspace 3 in monitor 2 IS focused, however, the styled highlighting is not shown. I go back to workspace 2 in monitor 1, and the styled highlighting is shown on workspace 2

Now back to workspace 3. I create a new workspace 4 on monitor 2. The styled highlighting is now shown on workspace 4. I go back to workspace 3, and suddenly, the styled highlighting returns on workspace 3.

• Upon returning back to workspace 2, the styled highlighting for workspace 2, is now NOT shown anymore. I can fix it by switching between workspaces (1 and 2) within the same monitor

It seems as though switching between 2 workspaces over DIFFERENT monitors creates this visual glitch. Subsequently switching between workspaces on the SAME monitor fixes it.

I downgraded back to version 12.0 and it immediately fixed the issue. Now the highlighting works normally
