How can I change the default .txt icon for files while Notepads is the default app ?

I usually change icons for files with filestypesmanager which works great but if i change default app for .txt files from windows 11 notepad to notepads the icon change doesnt register and it shows default windows icons instead of the custom one i used.
But if i change back to default notepad from w11 the custom icon for .txt files works.
